Beijing Philharmonic Association, which are classical musicians and music fans. The purpose of the association is to communicate and review concerts, operas, and dramas. In the daily, I found some opportunities to enhance the experience from booking to backing home. Then I decided to do this concept project to find out the realities and new possibilities of what the experience will be.
From Sina Weibo, I got labels of 34845 users who followed NCPA. Then I built the database with their name, the number of followers and their labels. (All the information are published by the users, which is not private.)
- 34845 followers of NCPA who are active were analyzed.
- Most of them are females.
- As for age, most of them are young.
Labels are people's bridges in social activities. I input the database to Gephi and dim users as the source, dim labels as the target, dim the number of users’ follower as weight. I chose the force atlas to process the data. With the effect of gravity, those points will move to this graphic. If more users have the same label, the label will become bigger.
Most of the active classical music listeners are professionals. I got the Job labels from the database then I input them to the tableau and got this graphic. Which helps know the job structure of the users.
There are about 100,000 listeners of active classical music in China. I got the location labels from the database then I convert the location to latitude and longitude. Finally, I input them to the tableau and got this graphic. Where are the followers of NCPA.
In order to get a specific user portrait, I conducted a user interview. The following are user interview outlines and user interview notes.
Combine Big Data Research and Interview Research
I experienced almost 100 concerts and found some problems:
- The ticketing system is lagging behind in the current Internet era.
- Publications of the National Center for the theatrical show have very limited dissemination and do not exert their due value.
- Lack of audience community construction is not conducive to maintaining user stickiness.
- Ticket booking system for audiences of all stages, which helps people book tickets easily and of satisfaction, and become more comfortable during the way.
- Concert-hall service system for audiences of all stages, which helps people get essential information fast and convenient, during the experience from booking to back home.
- Audiences community system building for the audience of all stages, which helps enhance the communication around audiences and performers to stronger user loyalty.
The home page is presented in the form of a card, with smart recommendations as the main body, allowing the user to directly obtain the required information at the corresponding time. When the user is listening to a concert, the card of the concert is topped, and after clicking, the information of the concert is presented in a dark mode, avoiding interference with other people by using the mobile phone to illuminate the show folding. At the same time, because the network signal is shielded during performance of the concert hall, the user does not browse other information. In addition, smart recommendations, friend dynamics, and operational pushes are presented in the form of cards.
In the performance, the top position is the operating position, including smart recommendation and advertising. Performances are categorized by venue and time, and users can quickly find the desired performance. In the show introduction interface, there are recommendations from experienced people to help novices choose to perform. The ticket purchase process can be completed in one page, with the choice of screenings, seat selection and payment completed.
Talks is an interactive community for fans to increase user interaction and stickiness.
On the Profile page, you can quickly find bookings and collections.
Define the color by moodboard
Summarizing the prototype and information hierarchy construction,I built the grid system as a standard for the user interface.
In the design of User interface, I adopted a minimalist design in order to maximize the content. At the same time, it followed the ios design specification.
